Jason MacIsaac

DAVID ANDERSON grew up in Red Deer, Alberta and moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1999. As a singer/songwriter, he wrote and produced four independently released studio albums, and in his younger years, performed and toured extensively throughout western Canada and the Maritimes. In 2004, David opened Village Sound as a post-production audio studio, offering recording, sound design and increasingly, original music to the advertising, television, film and interactive arts industries. He has provided sound design and original music for multiple award winning projects. In January 2010, David partnered with composer/producer Jason Michael MacIsaac to restructure Village Sound Music House, focusing intently on composing original music for productions.

 

Dave AndersonBorn and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, JASON MICHAEL MACISAAC is an accomplished composer and producer. In 1998, Jason formed his critically acclaimed orchestral pop group, The Heavy Blinkers and since then, the sextet has released five albums and toured the world over. The Heavy Blinkers sixth album is slated for release in the autumn of 2010 and features Jenn Grant on lead vocals. As a music producer, Jason has worked on several albums, including Brent Randall, The Prospectors Union, Ryan MacGrath, and Jenn Grant’s first full-length album, Orchestra For The Moon. In recent years, Jason’s focus has been on composing music for film, television, advertisements and theatre. He is an award-winning composer – having taken home a Merit Award for best original score for theatre in 2007, plus a gold Ice Award in 2009. He has also received several other nominations for Merit Awards, ECMAs, Music Nova Scotia’s Producer of the Year Award, as well as the Plug Independent Music Awards.
